Newbern 19th. April 1808.

We recommend Daniel Carthy Esquire as entirely qualified to file the office of District attorney. His integrity, talents and patriotism have been discovered to us by an intimate Knowledge of him for many years, & we are convinced that his appointment will produce general satisfaction amongst the citizens of this State.
