§ From William Eustis
Ca. 22 September 1812. Informs JM that Henry Glen was appointed assistant deputy quartermaster on 1 July 1812 on the recommendation of Morgan Lewis. Lewis, however, subsequently withheld the appointment, “finding some objection.” Glen has failed to return his letter of appointment; Lewis will be written to on the subject.
