28 January 1811, Boston. The subscribers, members of the legislature of Massachusetts, “having Understood that there would probably be a District Attorney soon Appointed for the District of Maine in room of the Hon. Silas Lee, … recommend Benjamin Green Esquire of Berwick in the County of York as … well Qualified to discharge the Duties of that Office.”
