11 September 1810, Chillicothe. Reports that William Creighton will resign as U.S. attorney on 20 Sept. and in that event Worthington and several others will recommend Lewis Cass, the present U.S. marshal, as his successor. For the position vacated by Cass he recommends the appointment of Jessup N. Couch.
