1. The two addresses and responses from Claiborne and James Wilkinson, all dated 23 March 1807, were published in the New Orleans Louisiana Gazette, 27 Mar. 1807. The addresses expressed approval of the measures Claiborne and Wilkinson had taken to suppress Burr’s alleged conspiracy.
