Stone Esqr.” On verso of 6 March 1807 statement from John Cox of Georgetown, addressed to William Gordon & Co. of Fredericksburg, Va., for $200 “at five days sight” to be paid to JM “for value received,” below which Gordon & Co. accepted on 9 March 1807. Written below JM’s statement is a 13 March 1807 statement signed by Stone: “Recd. the within in full.”
