I have this day shipped on Board of Captn Clements Packet the goods which arrived for you in the three friends, a Receipt for the same is herewith enclosed also the Duties and Crarges [Charges] theron;1 together with all the letters and papers relative to them that have come into my possesion with my best wishes for their safe arrival. 1. The enclosure is a 24 February 1807 receipt (1 p.) signed by Capt. Bede Clements in which he acknowledges receiving from Christie, “in good order and well conditioned,” items to be delivered to JM: four chests of wine; one box of oil; four boxes of capers, olives, and anchovies; one box of “Almonds &c”; and one jar of fruit.
