§ To George Hay. 5 February 1807, Department of State. “The commission for the Marshall of Virginia District was forwarded to his address in Amelia County.1 A duplicate will be enclosed to you by this days mail, which I beg the favor of you to transmit to him should he be elsewhere than in Amelia.”
