§ To John Ross. 29 January 1807, Department of State. “I have received your letter of the 12th. instant enclosing an address to the President respecting the Official conduct of the Collector of Savannah, which I have handed to its address.1 I take this occasion to acknowledge the receipt of a late letter from you on the same subject [not found].”
