Dear Sir

The Surveyor left [wi]th me your plat and deed which I now inclose. he foun[d the] disputed bounds to contain 68. as so that you deduct 680.D. from your last payment to mr Short, of which I this day give him notice.

The surveyor was William Woods. For the deed, see TJ to William Short, 10 Feb. 1813, and note. Other enclosure not found.

A missing letter of 6 Apr. 1816 from Higginbotham to TJ is recorded in SJL as received 3 May 1816.
