Partridge had communicated the corrected altitudes to Jonathan Williams, who included them in a paper read at a meeting of the United States Military Philosophical Society on 5 Nov. 1810 (American Medical and Philosophical Register, 2d ed., 1 [1814]: 337; Poor, Jefferson’s Library, 5 [no. 190]). Williams published the figures from the second table in , Transactions 4 (1799): 219–20.
