The enclosure listing the subjects of taxation was probably the 21 Dec. 1814 Virginia Act Imposing Taxes for the Support of Government (broadside at MoSHi: TJC-BC; containing underscoring, probably by TJ; endorsed by TJ: “Taxes. State. 1815”; repr. in Acts of Assembly description begins Acts of the General Assembly of Virginia (cited by session; title varies over time) description ends [1814–15 sess.], 3–8).
