On 13 May 1809 Jefferson wrote TJ that he had sent two boxes of dumb fish by Randolph’s boat (RC in MHi; addressed: “Thomas Jefferson esqr Monticello”; endorsed by TJ as received 21 May 1809 and so recorded in SJL).
