Th: Jefferson with his respects to the President, incloses him a letter he received from Mr. Short yesterday, by which he expected to leave the Hague on the 12th. of December: also the answers he has prepared to the two petitions from Post Vincennes.

Washington approved the answers … to the two petitions from post vincennes and returned them to TJ this day (, 62).
