Note of June 24. 1788. for 2400.₶” and, on verso, “Mr. Grand’s receipt for 2400.₶” This receipt is written on verso of Paradise’s acknowledgment, of which only the following remains: “… on Thursday May 29th. 1788, upon the same bill of three hundred pounds sterling, Mr. Paradise gratefully‥‥”
