Havre de Grace, 29 May 1786. An American ship, Clementina, arrived from Norfolk with 826 hhds. of tobacco on board and will return to that place in about 20 days; “your Excellency Knows that Norfolk is in Virginia” has shipped on board the Betsy TJ’s two boxes of books and encloses bills of lading; if TJ has any commissions for the Clementina they will be performed promptly.
