General Arnold having left in the hands of Mr. Buchanan of this place twenty Guineas for purposes not approved of by us I am to beg leave to trouble you with the ordering it to be returned by flag.

Nothing else is known concerning this sum of money left by Arnold in the hands of Mr. Buchanan of Richmond, but see Steuben to TJ, 15 Feb.
