On February 28, 1795, Jordan wrote to Hamilton in his capacity as Secretary of the Treasury and acknowledged “the receipt of your Letter of the 26th of January 1795 respecting the omission of weekly returns of Cash from this Office for some time back.” Letter not found.]

1. Jordan was collector of customs at Frenchman’s Bay, District of Maine.
