[September 23, 1793. On September 26, 1793, Oliver Wolcott, Jr., wrote to Ogden and referred to “Your Letter to the Secy. of the Treasury dated Sept. 23d. 1793.”2 Letter not found.]

1Ogden was at this time a resident of Newark, New Jersey, where his father, Abraham Ogden, was United States attorney for the District of New Jersey. A graduate of Columbia College, Thomas Ogden studied law with his father and Richard Harison and was admitted to the New York bar in 1796.
