From John Adams to John Marshall, 14 July 1800
Quincy July 14th 1800
Dear Sir
The inclosed German letter I received yesterday but as the language is illegible & unintelligible to me I inclose it to you, that if any of your clerks can read it, they may translate it for your edification & that of your humble servant. I have not opened it—but give you full authority for that purpose.
