GW today paid Stadler £8 12s. for teaching Jacky Custis music for eight months and £10 15s. for teaching Patsy ten months (General Ledger A description begins General Ledger A, 1750–1772. Library of Congress, George Washington Papers, Series 5, Financial Papers. description ends , folio 296).
