Dr Sir

My whole supply of Cash having been exhausted in the advance on account of Mr. Church—if you can spare it for some days I will thank you for 300 dollars of the proceeds of the Note by way of loan till I can make some further arrangements.1

Coxe endorsed this letter: “Jany. 12th. 1794 should be 11th.—A. Hamilton—lent Mr. Hamilton 300 Drs. Jany. 11th. I recd. of him a note for 1850 Drs. wch (deducting the above 300 Drs. from the proceeds of the last Note of 600 Drs) is about the balance.”
