To Thomas Jefferson from George Jefferson, 23 February 1809
Richmond 23d. Febr. 1809
Dear Sir
The two boxes of paste (as I conclude they are) shipped from Philadelphia so long ago as the 24th. of Decr last—were not received until yesterday.
I am not acquainted with the cause of this long delay, not having yet seen the Captain.
Mr. G. informs me that he inclosed you a check on the bank of Columbia, for $5872.84 on the 27th ultimo, which we have no doubt you have received.
I am Dear Sir Your Very humble servt.
Geo. Jefferson
