I have the honor to enclose herewith a Warrant of Midshipman for William Sim. He is the son of a very meritorious officer in our revolutionary War.—

After receiving his warrant, WILLIAM SIM was assigned to the frigate John Adams. He was probably the SON of Patrick Sim, a lieutenant colonel of Maryland troops during the Revolutionary War ( , Register, 50; , 497).
