Mr Fitz-Herbert presents his best Compliments to Dr Franklin; — he purposes leaving Paris this afternoon and will be exceedingly happy to take charge of any commissions that he or Mr Franklin may have for Brussels or England.4

4Fitzherbert, whose temporary mission to the French court had ended, seems to have been returning home by way of Brussels, where he had been posted as minister for the six years prior to this assignment. He would soon be sent as envoy plenipotentiary to the Russian court and would spend 20 more years in the diplomatic service: ODNB.
