Described in Brent to Gibaut, 16 Feb. 1804 (DNA: RG 59, DL, vol. 14), as enclosing the protest of Henry Bates, master of the schooner Neptune, against the impressment from his ship near Port Antonio, Jamaica, of John Ingersoll, a native of Gloucester, Massachusetts, by the British ship Mignonne.
