Yorktown, Virginia, August 1, 1786. Has “of this date drawed on you at Ten days sight for … One Hundred pounds currency of New York in favour of Colo. John Jameson.” Requests Hamilton to pay this sum “out of the money arising from Harts1 Debt.”
