Having changed my intentions with respect to the destination of the cotton seed, of which I wrote to you in my last, and countermanded it, I now inclose you a ten dollar bill to cover the disbursements noted in your last which crossed mine on the road. I pray you to accept my thanks for the many friendly attentions you have paid to matters of this kind for me, and which it was impracticable for me to prevent your being troubled with: and although my foreign correspondencies will now cease in a great degree, yet it is but too possible that independantly of my will or knolege, articles may be sent to such port as a vessel may happen to be coming to. should this take place, if you will have the goodness to reship them to Gibson & Jefferson at Richmond, they will pay all expences which can be made paiable there, & any others which you will be so good as to notify me of, shall be immediately remitted.
