7. Strange had been using BF as a channel for her correspondence with James Hunter, Jr., her cousin’s husband in Virginia, for at least two years—most recently in April: XXXIX, 405, 497. The last of these requests, it would appear, is dated Nov. 2, 1783 (APS).
