Sir,
I had ⅌ Spore the pleas[ur]e of a Letter of 18th inst. wth £196.15.2, Supposed to be from you, there being no name Sign’d,1 Inclos’d are the Rects you desire, Seperately, Shall be glad to hear the Pack Saddles are Right Sort, the Cost I Sent in a Letter with them.2
I wish you a Successfull Campaign, & with great Resspect I am Dear Sir yr most obeidt Servt

1. No letter from GW to Franks dated 18 June has been found. John Spour hauled goods for Philadelphia merchants. See Alexander Lunan to GW, 14 Jan. 1757, n.1.
2. In one receipt dated 26 June Franks acknowledges the receipt from GW of £193.16.2 “for a Qty halfticks sent him” (see GW to Franks, 1 May). The other of the same date acknowledges receipt of £2.19 “on Accot” (DLC:GW).
