1. Heath’s letter to Henry Laurens of 27 April requested congressional approbation of a British proposal for supplying the Convention army prisoners from Rhode Island (DNA:PCC, item 157). It was read in Congress on 13 May and probably was transmitted with GW’s letter to Laurens of 11 May, read the same day ( , 11:492).
