[Philadelphia] May 2, 1793. “… encloses … a letter from the Commissioner of the Revenue on the subject of a Keeper of the Lt House for Cape Henlopen.”1

In an entry in JPP description begins “Journal of the Proceedings of the President,” George Washington Papers, Library of Congress. description ends for May 2, 1793, Coxe’s letter is described as follows: “… a letter from the Commisr. of the Revenue, stating that the person, Lemuel Cornick, who had been appointed Keeper of the Light Ho. on Cape Henry had resigned & that Laban Geoffigan, had been appointed to fill the place till the president’s pleasure could be known” (JPP description begins “Journal of the Proceedings of the President,” George Washington Papers, Library of Congress. description ends , 106).
