My Beloved

I trust in God that you are well again—as your letters assure me you are. How bitterly I regret not going with you! Yours of “friday Midday”1 did not reach me til last eveg. I felt so full of fear that you might relapse that I hasten’d to pack a few cloaths & give orders for the Carriage to be ready, & the post waited for, this morg—happily—the messenger has return’d with your letter of yesterday,2 which revives my heart & leads me to hope you will be safe at home on Wednesday night, with your own affectinate Nurse. If business shd. detain you longer—or you shd. feel unwell again, let me come for you. Mama, & all are well, here. I enclose you one letter. The only one reccd. by yesterdays post—with two, latest papers to read, on your jurney back. I hope you reccd my last of Thursday containing letters & papers.3 My mind is so anxiously occupied about you, that I cannot write (May Angels guard thee my dear best friend)
