Enclosures: (1) Bill of lading, Cadiz, 22 Oct. 1803, being a printed form, with blanks filled by a clerk and signed by N. C. Bissell, master of the ship Eliza, describing a shipment consisting of “One Doubled Cased Butt of Sherry Wine,” with freight costs of “Ten Mexican Round Dollars,” and addressed to the collector in Philadelphia or Norfolk (MS in same: TJ Papers, 136:23437; Dupl in same, 136:23438). (2) Invoice, dated 18 Oct. 1803, for a cased butt of “superior Sherry Wine” sold by Gordon & Co. of Jerez, Spain, to Yznardi for a total cost of $194.85 (MS in same, 135:23415). Enclosed in Anthony Terry to the collectors of “any of the Ports of the United States,” 22 Oct. (same, 136:23435).
