From George Washington to Samuel Huntington, 28 December 1789 [letter not found]

Letter not found: to Samuel Huntington, 28 Dec. 1789. In a letter to GW of 2 Jan. 1790, Huntington referred to “your letter of the 28th Ulto.”

It is possible that Huntington misread the date of GW’s letter to him of 23 Dec. 1789 as 28 December.
