14 April 1812, Lancaster. Transmits “an exemplified copy” of an act passed by the General Assembly of Pennsylvania in their last session entitled “An Act to cede to the United States the jurisdiction over a piece of land at Presque-Isle for a light house.”

The enclosed copy of the act approved 13 Mar. 1812 (2 pp.) is accompanied by James Trimble’s certification, dated 15 Apr. 1812, that “the foregoing is a true copy of the Original Law” and by a partly printed document certifying that James Trimble was deputy secretary of the Commonwealth of Pennsylvania.
