Monticello June 24. 1795.

Having made another purchase of James river canal shares for Mr. Short, I have this day drawn on you in favor of Mr. Robert Pollard for twelve hundred and seventy two dollars and a half at 30. days sight which be pleased to honor.

Your favor of June 14. came to hand last night. I am with esteem Sir Your most obedt. servt
