Taking it for granted that the several matters enumerated in the Report,1 herewith returned, are supported by authenticated facts thoroughly investigated—the statement of them, and the observations thereupon, accord with the sentiments of Dear Sir Yours &ca.

1. At the beginning of this word TJ inserted a cross to serve as a key to the note he wrote in the margin: “Report on the commerce of the US.”
