Agreeably to your desire I subjoin the advances I charge on the different Goods, at the usual Credit of six Months, and for Cash.1 For the present I am deficient in Irish Linens & but a few pieces of the coarser Linens remain—the former however I am in daily Expectation of being supply’d with. William Hodgson (1765–1820) came from Whitehaven in England to Alexandria where he became a merchant in the mid–1780s.
