Thomas Jefferson to Craven Peyton, 10 August 1813

To Craven Peyton

Monticello Aug. 10. 13.

Dear Sir

The sum I owe you is between five hundred and forty or fifty Dollars. I have this day written to mr Gibson that I shall draw on him for it the next month, and I will take care that it be paid there by the day you name, the 17th of December. Accept my respects

TJ’s letter to Gibson of this day was located after print publication of this volume, has been added digitally, and will appear in the concluding supplement to the print edition.

SJL records a missing letter from Peyton to TJ of 15 Aug. 1813 as received the following day.
