Plainfield [New Jersey]1 22d May 1800

In consequence of explanatory instructions from the Department of War,2 it has been the Duty of Major Genl Hammilton to announce the Disbandment of the Six additional troops of Light Dragoons they are to be reduced on the fourteenth of June next.
