Roxbury Camp Octr 23d 1775

Sir

You will Excuse me when I Trouble your Excellency so Often with the Application of Officers for Discharges Since I wrote this Morning, one Lt Blake of Colo. Fellow’s Regt has Applyed, & it is recommended that he have his request Granted, as he is a Person that will be no Loss to the Army1—I am, Sir, Your very Humb. servt

1George Blake, lieutenant of Capt. Simeon Hazleton’s company in Col. John Fellows’s Massachusetts regiment, was discharged on 24 October. The letter that Thomas wrote earlier on this date has not been identified.
