ALB, DLC:GW. Cary’s invoices of this date for John Parke Custis and Martha Parke Custis and for GW’s and Custis’s York River plantations also are in DLC:GW.

1GW ordered these goods in an invoice dated 10 Aug. 1764; he wrote directly to John Didsbury, Charles Lawrence, and Mrs. Shelbury (this last signed by Martha Washington) on that date for the goods from them listed in this invoice.

2The mercantile firm of Burges, Glover & Strothoff (later Glover & Strothoff) was located at 7 St. Martin’s Lane, Cannon Street, in London.

3Rickards & Yerbury were hosiers in Lombardy Street.
