Head-Quarters N. Yk 12th Augt 1776.

Dr Sir

Your Letter of the 4th Instant is safe to hand. an answer to the Several particulars it contains will be given soon, time will but allow me to Request your forwarding with all possible Dispatch, Two 13 Inch Sea Mortars of the best in Boston to this place with their Beds & every thing Compleat. I am sir Yr &c.
