§ Andrew Jackson to John Payne Todd. 12 January 1817, Nashville. His friend Maj. John H. Eaton is en route to Philadelphia to oversee the publication of a work commenced by Capt. Reid (deceased). Requests that Eaton be introduced to JM “for whose private charector he has a great respect.”1
