Dr Sir,

Since mine to you of yesterday, I wrote to General Clinton giving him some general directions which you will find in the inclosed extract1—I, of course, depend on you for giving him more particular ones and am Dr Sir Yr Most Obedt serv.

Df, in Alexander Hamilton’s writing, DLC:GW; Varick transcript, DLC:GW.
