Th. Jefferson with his compliments to Mr. Smith incloses a letter to Genl. Dearborne to be read & forwarded and he requests Mr. Smith to give immediate orders as to supplying the N. York militia, to avoid the delay which will attend the reciept of Genl. Dearborne’s instructions.
