Th: Jefferson asks the favor of mr Otis to permit him, by his secretary to correct a nomination sent in yesterday by adding to the name of Charles Collins the word ‘junior.’

RC (DNA: RG 46, EPEN, 8th Cong., 1st sess.); addressed: “Mr. Otis”; endorsed by Otis.

Otis entered the correction on TJ’s list (see note to TJ to the Senate, 24 Feb.).
