Dear Sir,
The enclosed letter came to my hands agreeably to its direction; but on opening it I found it was addressed to & intended for you, and that the superscription, directing it to me, was probably a mistake in the writer;1 I have therefore transmitted it to you, and am, Dear Sir, with very great regard Your most Obedt Servt.
