Charleston, 22 Sep. 1780. Introducing Master Alexander Frazier Grigorie, whose father, James Grigorie, “late of Urbanna [Va.],” had shown Woodford kindness in Charleston.
RC (NN); mounted in an extra-illustrated volume and assigned to TJ as recipient by a previous owner, probably being done at the time the address-leaf was removed so that the letter could be mounted. However, even if this assignment were conjectural, internal evidence would seem to support it.
